Renogy CORE 12V Pure Sine Wave 3000 Watt Inverter
Renogy 3000W 12V Pure Sine Wave Inverter with UPS Function
Powerful 12V DC to 230V AC Conversion
The Renogy 3000W Pure Sine Wave Inverter is designed to convert power from a 12V DC battery bank into clean, stable AC electricity for running everyday mains-powered equipment. With a 3000W continuous output and up to 6000W of peak surge power, the inverter provides the capacity needed for a wide range of electrical loads and equipment.
Designed for use with 12V battery systems, the inverter is particularly well suited to motorhomes, campervans, recreational vehicles, off-grid properties, solar power systems and other mobile or independent power installations. It can be integrated into a wider Renogy energy system alongside compatible batteries, solar panels and charge controllers.
Pure Sine Wave Power for Sensitive Electronics
The inverter produces a pure sine wave AC output, providing a smooth and stable form of electricity similar to the power supplied by the mains. This makes it suitable for powering a broad range of electrical appliances and equipment, including devices that may be more sensitive to the quality of the electrical supply.
The inverter has a nominal 50Hz output frequency and is designed to provide stable AC power from a 12V battery source. Its maximum efficiency is rated at 90%, helping to make effective use of the energy stored within the connected battery system.
Integrated UPS Function and Fast Power Transfer
For installations where maintaining power is important, the Renogy inverter features an integrated UPS/automatic transfer function. When AC mains power is available, the system can prioritise the incoming AC supply and, if that supply is interrupted, transfer to battery power in less than 50 milliseconds.
This rapid transfer helps minimise interruptions to connected equipment and makes the inverter particularly useful where continuity of power is desirable. The grid-priority function can also help ensure that available utility power is used before drawing energy from the battery.
Built for Safety and Reliable Operation
The Renogy 3000W inverter incorporates multiple electronic protection features designed to help safeguard the inverter, battery system and connected equipment during operation. It also features intelligent cooling to help manage operating temperatures and maintain reliable performance.
The inverter includes an internal backup DC fuse and is supplied with protection and safety features designed for use within properly installed battery power systems. The unit is CE certified and is designed for operation within a working temperature range of approximately 0°C to 40°C.
For installation, Renogy specifies that the inverter should be installed by a qualified electrician in a dry, well-ventilated location, as close to the battery as practical. Adequate clearance should be maintained around the inverter to allow effective ventilation and natural convection cooling.
Easy Operation with Wired Remote Control
A wired remote control is included, allowing the inverter to be operated conveniently when the main unit is installed in a difficult-to-reach position. The supplied remote uses a cable connection, making it particularly useful for installations where the inverter is mounted away from the main living or control area.
The inverter also features accessible DC connection terminals and AC outlets, allowing compatible AC loads to be connected directly to the inverter. For safety, Renogy recommends the use of an appropriately rated battery fuse when connecting the inverter to the battery bank.
Compatible Battery Systems and Installation Information
The inverter is designed for use with deep-cycle sealed lead-acid, flooded, lithium and gel batteries, allowing it to be incorporated into a variety of 12V energy storage systems.
For the 3000W model, the manual specifies a 400A battery fuse and identifies 25mm² cable at 600mm for the supplied DC connection arrangement. The DC terminals use M8 connections, with the manual specifying a terminal tightening torque of 14 ±0.5 N·m.
The inverter has a 12V DC nominal input, with an input voltage range of 11–16V DC. Low-voltage shutdown is specified at 10V DC, while high-voltage shutdown is specified at 16.3V DC.
