The Renogy Pro 12V 100Ah Deep Cycle Lithium Iron Phosphate Battery is designed to provide dependable energy storage for off-grid living, leisure, mobile and marine applications. With a 12.8V nominal voltage, 100Ah rated capacity and 1,280Wh of energy, it provides a substantial amount of usable power in a compact battery designed for demanding deep-cycle applications.

Using lithium iron phosphate battery technology and EV-grade cells, the Pro Series battery is designed for long-term use, offering a rated 5,000-cycle lifespan at 80% depth of discharge (DOD) and 80% end of life (EOL). It supports a maximum continuous charge current of 100A and maximum continuous discharge current of 100A, while its peak discharge capability reaches 245A for 30 seconds, providing additional power capability for heavier loads.

Renogy states that the battery is particularly suited to applications where dependable power is required away from the mains, including remote living, outdoor adventures, fishing, boating and other mobile or marine uses.

Double Active Safety System with 60+ BMS Protections

A key feature of the Renogy Pro Series is its double active safety system, combining an EV-grade Battery Management System with active backup protection.

The integrated BMS provides more than 60 protection mechanisms and alerts, designed to monitor the battery and help identify electrical and thermal hazards. This protection system works alongside active backup protection to provide an additional layer of safety for the battery and connected system.

Renogy's active backup protection uses self-control fuses designed to respond quickly to potential hazards such as overvoltage and overheating. This provides a secondary protection layer in addition to the battery's primary BMS protection.

The battery is also housed in a UL94 V-0 flame-retardant PC/ABS casing, providing enhanced resistance to vertical burning. Combined with the BMS and active backup protection, the Pro Series is designed to provide additional protection in demanding environments and remote applications.

Automatic Self-Heating for Cold-Weather Charging

The built-in self-heating function allows the battery to automatically warm itself when charging in cold conditions. This is particularly useful for applications exposed to low temperatures, such as winter camping, motorhomes, boats, fishing and other outdoor systems.

The self-heating function activates automatically when the battery temperature falls below 5°C, provided a stable charging current greater than 4A is available. Heating stops once the battery temperature rises above 10°C.

This means the battery can actively manage the conditions required for charging during cold weather rather than relying solely on the surrounding environment to warm the battery. Renogy specifically highlights applications such as ice fishing, where reliable battery operation and charging in sub-zero conditions can be particularly important.

The specified charging temperature range for the battery is -20°C to 55°C, while the discharge temperature range is -20°C to 60°C. Storage is supported from -25°C to 65°C.

Built-In Bluetooth Monitoring and Renogy Connectivity

The Renogy Pro 100Ah battery has Bluetooth built in, meaning a separate Bluetooth module is not required. The battery can connect directly to the Renogy DC Home app, allowing users to monitor battery information from a compatible smartphone.

The battery also supports over-the-air (OTA) updates, allowing future features and improvements to be delivered through the Bluetooth connection and DC Home app.

For wider Renogy energy systems, the battery is compatible with Renogy ONE M1 and Renogy ONE Core, providing an option for integrating battery information into a broader off-grid power monitoring setup.

The battery can be recharged using compatible solar charging equipment, DC-DC battery chargers or AC-DC chargers, with Renogy recommending lithium iron phosphate-compatible charging equipment for optimal operation.

Rugged, Weather-Resistant Construction

Built for mobile and outdoor applications, the Pro Series battery features a rugged construction with integrated mounting holes to help simplify installation and provide a secure mounting solution.

The housing is manufactured from PC/ABS material and has an IP67 protection rating, providing a high level of protection against dust and water ingress. Renogy also states that the battery has undergone ISO 9227 corrosion-resistance testing, making it suitable for applications such as fishing, boating and other marine environments.

The battery measures 268 × 193 × 205mm and weighs 12.2kg, providing a relatively compact energy-storage solution while still offering 100Ah of capacity and 1,280Wh of stored energy.

For installation, the manufacturer recommends leaving approximately 5–10cm of clearance above the battery and at least 20cm on the side containing the busbars to allow suitable installation space.

Expandable Battery Capacity and Technical Specifications

The Renogy Pro 12V 100Ah battery can be expanded by connecting compatible batteries in parallel, allowing additional storage capacity to be added as system requirements increase. Up to eight batteries can be connected in parallel, creating a system with up to 10.24kWh of energy storage. Renogy specifies that batteries used together should be the same model and have similar capacity.

The batteries cannot be connected in series to create a 24V system according to Renogy's current UK product information.
