Renogy 200W ShadowFlux Anti Shadow Rigid Solar Panel Kit
Renogy 200W ShadowFlux Rigid Solar Panel Kit
Advanced ShadowFlux Anti-Shading Technology
The Renogy 200W ShadowFlux Rigid Solar Panel Kit brings Renogy's latest solar technology to motorhomes, caravans, RVs and off-grid applications. At the heart of the kit is the Renogy 200W ShadowFlux N-Type rigid solar panel, designed to provide more consistent power generation when part of the panel is affected by shading.
Traditional solar panels can experience a significant reduction in output when sections of the panel are shaded by trees, buildings, roof equipment or other obstructions. ShadowFlux uses cell-level anti-shading technology to minimise these losses, helping more of the panel's available cells continue contributing to power generation.
This makes the panel particularly useful for mobile applications where it may not always be possible to park or position the vehicle in completely unobstructed sunlight.
High-Efficiency N-Type Solar Cells
The ShadowFlux panel uses N-Type high-efficiency monocrystalline solar cells, with the supplied datasheet specifying a cell efficiency of more than 24.8% and a module efficiency of 20.7%.
The panel is rated at 200W maximum power under Standard Test Conditions (STC), with an open-circuit voltage of 36.5V, short-circuit current of 6.86A, optimum operating voltage of 31.3V and optimum operating current of 6.38A.
The N-Type cell technology is designed to provide efficient power generation in a compact rigid panel format, while the ShadowFlux technology helps maintain performance when partial shading occurs.
Compact, Durable Rigid Panel Construction
Despite providing 200W of rated power, the ShadowFlux panel has a relatively compact footprint of 1262 × 764 × 30mm and weighs 10.81kg. Renogy's design is intended to provide a balance between power output, size and installation practicality.
The panel features a 3.2mm tempered glass front, an anodised aluminium alloy frame and monocrystalline high-efficiency solar cells. The rigid construction is designed for long-term use in mobile and outdoor applications.
The panel is rated for an operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C, allowing it to operate across a wide range of environmental conditions. The junction box is rated IP67, while the supplied datasheet also specifies IP68 protection for the solar panel's relevant connection/cable assembly.
Designed for Partial-Shading Performance
One of the key advantages of the ShadowFlux design is its ability to deal with common sources of partial shading. The supplied Renogy information highlights applications including trees, buildings and other sources of shade, while also identifying use on pickup truck and SUV canopies.
For leisure vehicles, this can be especially useful when roof-mounted equipment, surrounding trees or nearby structures create shadows across part of the solar panel. ShadowFlux technology is designed to reduce the effect of this partial shading and help provide a more stable source of solar energy.
Renogy also specifies anti-hotspot technology, with the datasheet stating that no hot spots are guaranteed. This is designed to help reduce localised overheating and support long-term panel durability.
Complete Solar Charging Kit
This product is supplied as a complete 200W ShadowFlux solar panel kit, rather than as a panel alone. The PLS product listing specifies that the kit contains:
- RE26205 – Renogy 200W ShadowFlux rigid solar panel
- RE26921 – 20ft 10AWG connection cable
- RE26924 – mounting brackets
- E26300 – cable gland
- 12/24V 30A Rego MPPT solar controller
The included MPPT controller is designed to manage the solar charging connection to a compatible battery system. The inclusion of the connection cable, mounting hardware and cable gland provides the principal components required for installing the solar panel and connecting it to the controller.
The kit is therefore particularly suited to customers looking for a straightforward way to add 200W of solar generation to a motorhome, caravan, RV or other suitable off-grid installation.
Technical Specifications & Applications
The Renogy ShadowFlux 200W panel is designed for a wide range of mobile and off-grid applications. Renogy identifies potential uses including RV and motorhome battery charging, pickup truck and SUV canopies, outdoor activities and upgrading existing PV systems.
