The Maxview Roam 5G Campervan WiFi System turns 4G and 5G mobile signals into a secure, high-speed WiFi hotspot inside your vehicle. An externally mounted antenna captures far better reception than a phone alone, so you can stay online in remote campsites, wild parking spots and rural stopovers. If a usable WiFi network is nearby, the router can also repeat it, saving your mobile data for when you truly need it. High-Performance Omni-Directional Antenna

The low-profile antenna is purpose-built for vehicles. Its compact 180 mm x 60 mm footprint fits neatly between roof ridges, and the aluminium base with UV-stable ASA cover stands up to years of sun, rain and road grime. With an IP69K rating – the highest on the ingress protection scale – it is completely dust-tight and can withstand high-pressure, high-temperature washdowns. Receiving 360 degrees around the vehicle, the omni-directional design requires no manual aiming; once installed it works as soon as you need it. Frequency coverage spans 698–6000 MHz, encompassing all 3G, 4G and 5G bands, with MIMO technology to maintain a stable connection even in weak signal areas.

Advanced 5G Router with eSIM and App Control

Inside the vehicle, a powerful Teltonika-based router converts the boosted signal into a private WiFi network capable of handling up to 150 devices simultaneously. CAT20 technology supports download speeds up to 3.1 Gbps where 5G is available, and the router will automatically fall back to 4G or 3G when 5G coverage is not present. Five RJ45 Ethernet ports allow a wired connection directly to a smart TV, games console or other device. The free Maxview app (iOS and Android) puts data tracking, network settings and SIM management at your fingertips, without needing to access the router cupboard. Remote diagnostics let Maxview’s support team troubleshoot if ever required, and advanced password encryption plus customisable website blacklist and whitelist filters keep browsing family-friendly.

SIM Flexibility and Data Plans

The router is factory unlocked and fitted with dual SIM slots, including an integrated eSIM. A Maxview SIM comes pre-inserted with 5 GB of free multi-network data, so you can get online straight away. After that, you can activate the Maxview unlimited data plan (monthly subscription applies) or insert any physical SIM from providers such as EE or Three. The eSIM lets you download a data plan directly without a physical card, ideal for switching networks when travelling abroad. For heavy streaming, an unlimited or high-data package is recommended; the system is equally at home with a basic data SIM for email and browsing.

Simple Installation and What’s Included

The kit arrives with everything needed for a permanent through-roof installation. A self-adhesive pad and clamp hold the antenna securely, and the pre-terminated SMA cables plug straight into the router. Power is supplied via the included 12 V cigarette lighter lead (1.5 m, 2 A fused) with reverse polarity protection, and a 230 V mains adapter is available separately. Inside the box you will find:

You can also connect smart cameras, lights and switches; the router must remain powered if you wish to monitor the van remotely, so a suitable leisure battery setup is advisable.
