Towsure's first mail order parts catalogue looks dated now; it was a simple, basically illustrated parts list but for the time it was a bold step forward in the towing and trailer industry, bringing value for money trailer spares to the UK with easy ordering - of course in those days it was common to write a cheque, wait for snail mail to deliver it, then for the cheque to clear before your items could be posted.

Listing component parts for the DIY home-build trailer with everything from suspension units to corner posts - most small camping trailers on the road those days were home-built affairs with marine plywood or tongue & groove timber for the base and sides on a steel frame, either home-made or a pre-built frame. Wheels were sourced from scrap cars and Towsure offered a range of stub axles to suit hubs reclaimed from popular vehicles of the time.
